Mamoudou Gassama, the Malian outsider who scaled an apartment in Paris to spare the life of a dangling 4-year-old a month ago, was respected at the 2018 BET Awards at Microsoft Theater on Sunday night in Los Angeles, California.

The 22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama got a humanitarian award alongside Anthony Borges, James Shaw Jr., Justin Blackman, Naomi Wadler, and Shaun King.

The “Spider-Man Parisian” has since been granted a French citizenship by French President Emmanuel Macron, and was likewise offered an enlistment to be a firefighter at the French fire benefit with a compensation of 600 euros month to month for his philanthropic gesture.
