DE GEA EQUALS RECORD FOR MOST SAVES IN A PREMIER LEAGUE GAME

Davidde Gea has equalled the record for most savesin a Premier League game, by posting the joint highest tally in the last14 years.

The Manchester United goalkeeper recorded 14 saves against Arsenal onSaturday, helping his side to a vital 3-1victory at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners kept De Gea busy all night and the goalkeeper responded in spectacular fashion, particularly on a stunning double save in the second half on Alexandre Lacazette and #AlexisSanchez.

_

The 27-year-old equalled the mark that is shared by #TimKrul (Newcastle v. Spurs in Nov 2013) and Vito Mannone (Sunderland v. Chelsea inApr2014).

_

No save data exists priorto the 2003-04 campaign, but #DeGea’s tally is the joint best since Opta began collecting save data.
