John Legend is the only First Black Man to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar & a Tony Award

Artist John Legend has turned into the principal dark man to win the EGOTs – an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.

Legend brought home an Emmy at Sunday’s Creative Arts Emmys for his part in NBC’s variety special “Jesus Christ Superstar.”

At 39, he also tied with Robert Lopez to become the youngest man to win all four major entertainment industry awards.

John Legend has 10 Grammys to his belt, one Oscar for his original song for the Martin Luther King biopic “Selma,” and one Tony which he won just last year.

He’s likewise in the runninlead actor category at the Primetime Emmys for his part as Jesus in the variety special.
